Our 28 Week pregnancy update with Baby #3.  Follow along as we prepare for our third baby and becoming a family of five!  You can see all our pregnancy updates for baby #3 here.

Happy Monday!! It’s been about a month since our last pregnancy update and since I just realized last week that at 28 weeks pregnant, we’ve officially entered into third trimester territory, I feel like it’s probably time for another update.

But first of all – whoa, whoa, whoa.  How in the world are we already in the third trimester?! I’m feeling all the rush of the holidays getting started over here and realizing that after that, we’re full swing ahead celebrating our littlest’s birthday and getting ready to welcome the newest to the team.

Really wishing time would just SLOW DOWN these next few weeks, but I know that’s not how time works.  That sneaky time.

Anyway, how about a little update over here?

28 Weeks Pregnant with baby #3. Our 28 week pregnancy update! Fall maternity style, favorite maternity jeans
The only photo I was able to get of the bump this week. Hopefully more soon!

28 Weeks Pregnant Updates:

How far along? 28 weeks + 3 days

Maternity clothes? Yes.  All the stretchy clothes.  And oversized sweaters and long sleeve tops.  We’ve had quite a little cold snap here in North Carolina the past few days and I have been really tempted to buy a maternity coat.  Trying to hold out (unless I find a great one second hand), but the wind this past weekend was no joke.  Brrrrrr!

Thankfully, as it goes in North Carolina around this time of the year, if you don’t love the weather, just hold out for a week and it will probably change anyway so…

Sleep: Not much, but I don’t think I can fully blame pregnancy.  I have been in major nesting mode over here.  Working with Hubs to paint the house, organize toys, declutter closets.  Basically organizing all the things.

I’ve also had a really strong burst of energy and motivation towards the blog and planning out where I want Live Well Play Together to move in the new year, so I’ve been working a lot on several administrative behind the scenes things in this space.  Don’t worry – the plan is still largely more of the same, but with a little better focus and organization.  Updating email preferences for readers (if you’re subscribed to my emails, you should have gotten a notice last week to update your preferences) to be sure I’m only sending out what people want in their inboxes, etc.

Lots of things going on in my brain.

Best moment this week:  We have had so many good moments this week.  The boys are in a super fun stage and I love getting to spend time with them.  We got to see lots of family this week.  And I pulled out the Christmas decorations to see what we have, get rid of things we don’t use anymore, and went shopping with the boys to pick out some new decorations.

Movement:  Lots more movement on some days, which makes me really glad.

Food cravings:  Yes, please.  All of the food.

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not sick per say, but I have been having a lot more heartburn recently that kind of sneaks up on me.  It happens with all different foods, so I haven’t really identified a trigger.

Labor Signs: None, thankfully!  I haven’t had any real Braxton Hicks or anything like that with any of the boys’ and that is still holding true this time around.

Wedding rings on or off? Still on and holding strong!

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Mostly happy, I think – but trying to get so many things done, too.  Trying to remember to take some time to breathe.  Be present.  Define priorities.

Also, feeling weird about my body some days.  Not fishing for compliments – and I am fully aware of and thankful for the work my body is doing to grow this sweet one.  Just acknowledging that pregnancy is not always glamorous.  And your body changes with each pregnancy and age and everything else.  And it’s okay to feel your feelings and still be really grateful for your body at the same time.  This is a whole post in and of itself.  But it’s where I am.

Weekly Wisdom:  Prep work is worth it. Taking time to prep our walls well before painting is tedious, but makes the job MUCH easier.  Taking time to organize things on the blog rather than pushing forward with content and social media is worth it.  Makes my focus more clear.  Getting up before the kids to read, pray, think in quiet is tiring some days – but WAY worth it to start the day in the right frame of mind.

Milestones:  We have our glucose test tomorrow morning.  Praying for good news.

Looking forward to: Seeing the hard work of our house painting pay off.  Excited to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family and start decorating for Christmas soon!

And that’s where we are this week!  I’m hoping to get some photos rounded up of our painting projects (& some of our fun Christmas projects for you soon) – but the weather has been SO cloudy and rainy that I’ve had a hard time getting helpful photos. Soon – I hope!
