Happy Friday, loves, and HAPPY SEPTEMBER!!  I can hardly believe that it’s already September, but I’m not complaining.  September ushers in all things fall, which is my favorite season.  It’s also my birthday month, so while I’m thinking of all things cozy, I get to do so while enjoying all the birthday freebies coming my way!

To be honest, I wasn’t totally sure I was going to be able to get this post up today, but I am feeling on a roll this week in content land so I wanted to be sure to finish strong.  Fridays are kind of a free-for-all over here, so I didn’t want to miss it this week.

Today’s post is especially random and full of lots of things life and blog related, so buckle up!

Five on Friday: A Weekly Round-up with Live Well Play Together

A Blogger Meetup

Our local bloggers’ group had an awesome meet-up last night at a local Kendra Scott store complete with makeovers, fall headshots, and delicious desserts from a local restaurant.  I have so many good things to say about it and not nearly enough photos.

When I started Live Well Play Together, I wanted to be really intentional about blogging in community – getting to know other bloggers, collaborating with them, and really engaging more in the world of blogging.  I am so thankful for this group and all the wonderful people I’ve met in just a few short months of this new adventure.

The lovely Sarah from The Zinn Life (click the photo to check out her blog!)

I have so many thoughts about community and networking and building one another up after last night’s event.  Suffice it to say though, that I left feeling inspired and really motivated over here.

Birthday Month

I don’t think this one really needs much explanation.  Birthdays are fun around here.  I don’t even need to have a huge celebration, I just like knowing that its’ my birthday and being able to enjoy little things the whole month long.  Really, birthdays just make me feel so thankful.  I look at them as an opportunity to reflect on the year that’s passed and to anticipate the year to come.  I have so much to be grateful for and my birthday is just an easy time to remember all of that.

Getting my Groove Back

I feel like I am getting a good groove back over here on the blog.  June was a really great month over here, July was not so hot (at least not on the blog), and I feel like mid-way through August, I was able to pick things back up.  I’m feeling refreshed and re-energized in this space and I’m excited for a lot of the new content that’s coming your way soon.

My mind is swirling with all the posts I want to write.  Now to find the time and take the photos.

I feel so appreciative of all of you who consistently follow along here.  Remember what I said earlier about community?  I love it.  I really do.  Tell me what you like to see over here.  I always like to hear from you (and if you’re also a blogger and ever want to collaborate, just reach out to me, k?)

Storytime at the Library

Our local libraries take 3 months out of the year off from hosting story times and use those months for planning the upcoming months.  So, we’ve spent the month of August without story time and we are excited to get back into the swing of things.  We’re heading over this morning!  We actually went to the library earlier this week just to go read books together we miss it so much.  I love that it’s a regularly scheduled, fun, free, and educational activity that Little enjoys so much.  And let’s be real about being in routine – it’s just good for everybody.

Cooler Weather

Ok, so this one is kind of a long stretch, since I know it won’t really be consistently cooler around here for at least a few more weeks.  But, we’ve had some great weather around here recently.   Cool mornings and not terribly hot afternoons – fall is so close I can almost smell it and I cannot wait.  I love all the things about fall.  Except raking up leaves.  That, I don’t love so much, but all the other things are excellent.  I love the return of mild weather, going for walks, fires, blankets, skinny jeans, all they hype about pumpkin everything, pumpkin farms, the return of football and marching band season, all of it.  Come on, fall!  We can’t even wait for you!
