Happy happy Friday, friends!  Can you believe that Live Well Play Together has been live for 2 weeks this week?!  I’ve spent so much time working on it and thinking about it, it feels like so much longer to me.  But, alas, here we are.  I’ve been doing some thinking about the blog and my posting schedule.  Originally, I decided on 2 posts per week because it felt manageable.  I’d like to be consistent so you’ll always know when to expect something new.  I don’t want to over commit, but I also want to keep things rolling over here.

That said, I’ve decided to move to a Monday – Wednesday – Friday posting schedule here on Live Well Play Together.  On Fridays, I plan to share five things that I’m thinking about that week.  These things might be weekly highlights, random thoughts I’ve had, things I’m looking forward to, things I’ve read, etc.  It’s a mixed bag, really, but I like it that way.

Be sure to check out lots of other great Five on Friday posts at these link ups:

A Great Easter Weekend at Home

Live Well Play Together | Easter Sunday 2017

We had a really wonderful weekend this past weekend.  We stayed home, my sister came over for lunch, we grilled burgers, and Hubs’ brother spent the afternoon with is.  It was nice to relax and unwind.  The older I get the more I really love Easter.  I love that we get to focus on the death and resurrection of Christ, which is really the cornerstone of our faith.  If Christ was raised from the dead (and I believe that he was), that changes everything.  I get excited just thinking about it.  My sister also took some really great family pictures for us in the backyard.  It was so sunny out and I love the way the lighting turned out in the photos!

Mercies that are New Every Morning

via

Then Monday came like it always does.  Except, y’all.  I had what felt like the Monday-est of all Mondays.  Do you know those days where nothing really terrible happens, but no matter what you do, nothing goes as planned either?  Just to name a few things – poop on my white t-shirt first thing while carrying Little down to change a full diaper.  Dumping a snack cup of bunny crackers while trying to get out of the door to the grocery store.  Major melt-down in said grocery store.  Late lunch, and so on.  Let’s just say I won’t be adding much of Monday into my highlight reel.

BUT in the midst of it, I was reminded that even on our less than stellar days, God’s love for us is STEADFAST!  And His mercies are new every single morning.  EVERY SINGLE MORNING!  Not only that, but his grace is totally sufficient for us and HIS power is perfected in our weakness.

Hubs ended up realizing I was having a hard day and came home from work early so I could get some things done at home.  He brought flowers because he’s the best.  And Tuesday was totally a new day and we had a blast.  His mercies are new every morning, people.

Cadbury Mini Eggs

Does this even need an explanation?  My favorite Easter candy of all time on clearance this week?  I waited until after Easter to get my hand on them since I didn’t plan any mini egg themed treats for Easter so here they are.  Already opened.  Delicious.  #treatyoself.

A Fun Dress to Review

eShakti Dress Review

Next, I recently got this fun dress from eShakti to review.  I was able to get some great photos over the weekend and I’ve been working to get them ready for the blog.  I can’t wait to show you the dress and share some of the details about my shopping experience with you all!

Last Weekend before Wedding Season

Finally, we are getting into full on wedding mode around here.  I love weddings so much.  I’m actually in two weddings back to back in May (one for my baby sister and the other for a college friend).  We’ve got two more weddings this year in September – one for my brother and another for a neighbor.  That said, this is the last weekend we have free before the madness of spring begins.  I’m planning a bachelorette party for my sister and attending for my friend in addition to their weddings.  I’m looking forward to the fun with friends, but also trying to soak in all the minutes of rest at home that I can before it all begins.

We’ve got a fun and hopefully relaxing weekend planned.  We’re having dinner with some friends on Saturday and need to make a grocery store run, but other than that, we’ll go to church and hopefully spend some time playing and resting.  Do you have big plans this weekend?  How was your week?
